Uniform Preparation

Males:

1. shirt sleeves lines from the back of the shoulder lapel.
2. shirt pocket press studs clipped on at all times.
3. belt loop 2 fingers away from the end of the belt.
4. trousers front lines from the first two trousers belt loop down the end of the trousers.
5. trousers no gathers (trousers cover half of boots at least).
6. trousers back lines merge at the centre of the 3rd and 4th trousers belt loop.
7. boots polished, clean and shiny.
8. beret seasoned.

Females:

1. blouse collar flat.
2. blouse sleeve lines from centre of the shoulder lapel.
3. belt loop 2 fingers away from end of the belt.
4. no iron lines on the skirt.
5. boots polished, clean and shiny.
6. beret seasoned.

Polishing

1. Prepare a solid shoe polisher(kiwi) and a smooth cloth.
2. Wet the smooth cloth but drain the excess water.
3. Wrap the cloth onto your finger(s).
4. Scrap a small amount of shoe polish(kiwi).
5. Apply the kiwi onto the surface of the boots/shoes.
6. Polish the boots in a continuous circular motion.
7. Add small amount of water. DO NOT add too much shoe polish.
8. Air Dry.

DO NOT add too much shoe polish. The shoe polish will eventually melt under sunlight.
Too much of shoe polish will cause the shoe surface to crack.

Hello all

Please prepare your NPCC full uniform for tomorrow's NPCC Day, if applicable.

For new uniform holders as well as other uniform holders, you are to make sure that the following stuff have been done on your uniform.
  1. insert the metal crest through the beret and through the cardboard behind the beret.
  2. boots and shoes to be polished using the black kiwi polisher and clean smooth cloth.
  3. for males, shirt to be ironed. with distinct line from the shoulder lapel to the the end of the sleeve of the shirt on both sides. No other lines on the shirt. 3 big buttons in front, 2 small buttons at the shirt pockets and 2 small buttons at the shoulder of the shirt with rank attached. badges to be placed at their respectively positions, if any.
  4. for males, trousers to be ironed. with distinct line starting from the inner first trousers loop (nearest to the zip) to the end of the trousers on the front of the trousers on both sides. ALSO distinct line at the back of the trousers from the middle of the back of the trousers to the end of the trousers on both sides forming a big triangle w/o the base.
  5. for females, blouse to be ironed. distinct line from the shoulder lapel to the end of the end of the sleeve of the blouse on both sides. No other lines on the blouse. 5 small buttons at the front of the blouse and 2 small buttons at the shoulder with rank attached. badges to be placed at their respectively positions of the uniform, if any.
  6. for females, skirt to be ironed without any distinct lines.
  7. for shoe laces, the males boots are to tie the chain knot. while the females shoes use the butterfly knot to tighten the shoes.
  8. all cadets are to wear their belt regardless whether the uniform is tight or loose.
  9. socks for males must be up to the height of above the boots. while socks for the females must be up to the height of at least one palm's height form the ankle of the feet.
  10. be-spectacled are to wear specs hooks or specs band.
  11. No wearing of any watches, necklaces, bangles, bracelets, rings and earrings except for religious purposes.
  12. all long hairs are to be pinned or tied.
  13. Females wearing the beret are to wear a hair net. Females with long hairs are to tie their hairs into a bundle with the hair net covering it.
  14. Males wearing the beret are to insert all the fringe hair into the beret. no hair should be sticking out of the beret. and hair should not be touching the eyebrows, the ear and the collar of the shirt.

If you have done all the above, you are properly dressed. While you are wearing the uniform, you are representing the NPCC organisation. therefore, no exaggerating actions and should maintain high level of conduct and behaviour.
